Kathleen has improved rapidly since Sunday evening. Her fever rapidly broke and her accelerated heart rate has gradually declined to near normal. Mike received a call from a very kind woman (Koo Choo) in Great Britain whose husband (Chris) had a very similar incident to Kathleen. Chris, like Kathleen, was in great shape, but had a freak cardiac arrest came while running alone. Tragically, some of the things the Davey's have researched since her accident which could have mitigated his secondary brain damage were not performed. This emphasizes the disconnect between researchers and hospitals which is one of the missions of the Global Ischemia Foundation to help disconnect. As more and more people survive near drowning and cardiac arrest episodes, it is crucial to get this information out.
