Tuesday 28 June
Kathleen seems better today and held her head well in the standing frame.

One of Kathleen's caregivers went to Kaiser yesterday with severe chest pains. The doctor told her she was fine and to take a little tylenol for the pain. After Mike and Kim heard the story, they told her how Kathleen had gone to Kaiser several times complaining of pains and had been ignored. The caregiver returned to a diffferent clinic of a doctor who was in private practice today. He took a chest x-ray and discovered she had a severe lung infection which will require nearly a month of antibiotics. Please be forceful in advocating for yourself with your doctors (especially Kaiser doctors). Unfortunately too many are concerned about the company's bottom line rather than your health (especially in states like California that have medical malpractice caps.
