Kathleen has been shaking quite a bit recently which prompted another call to Kaiser for test. Conversations have begun with her doctor regarding putting her on long term medicine which helps prevent bladder infections.
Its amazing that there has been a call by several "top bioethicist" to do testing on PVS patients with or WITHOUT their permission. This is especially surprising considering the fact that recent research suggests that pvs patients not only hear, but their brain's respond to input in the same fashion as a healthy person. See the picture below which shows a pvs brain activating in the same fashion as the 12 control healthy subjects during a functional mri examination.
Heartfelt thank yous go out to the Y.A. Tittle Foundation who held a Golf Tournament fundraiser last Thursday for charity. One quarter fo the funds were designated to the Global Ischemia Foundation.
