With the kids at summer school and camp its been hard to see much of mommy this summer. Still, Bean would certainly support the girls staying active and having fun.

stem cell bill update

I was watching Good Morning America this morning and they had an interesting study segment on there. It was about the use if Ambien to treat brain injured patient. As it normally put people to sleep it can somehow "awaken" the brain in certain patients. It was very impressive to see some of the patient studies they featured. I just wanted to pass this info on to you.

Thanks so much for the note. Its nice to have other eyes looking out for Bean. Actaully, ambien is the new medicine that was prescibed by the Valley Medical doctors on our appeal. He saw no harm in it and the fact that it might help was a huge upside. Unfortunately, Kaiser didn't see it that way and initially refused to fill the prescription. We were able to get it elsewhere (of course at full price). The meds increased her eye movements significantly but did little else unfortunately.
